United States Of America. Delivered At Charlestown, April 25, 1799,

The Church In Charlestown. Published At The Request Of The
Hearers. Cornelius Davis. New-York. 1799. 8vo, 36 p. Disbound,
trimmed close at bottom. Ex-collection, New York Historical
Society. Highly interesting conservative attack on the excesses of
the French Revolution, especially in Haiti, and identifying the
members of a French Masonic lodge in Norfolk, Va. Freemasons, he
warned, were Illuminati and the vanguard of sedition in America.
Sermon is on the text from Psa.XI:3, "If the foundations be
destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Morse mentions Robison’s
work "Proofs of a conspiracy", republished by the John Birch
Society. I.D.#03905.
