Replogle Globes, Inc. Replogle 32 inch Library globe. Legend... Designed and edited by Gustav Brueckmann, Cartographer. Replogle Globes, Inc. Chicago. c1949. Coated paper gores over plaster-coated hollow core. Large time dial. Oceans finished in pale blue, with International Date Line, nautical distances, continental shelves in white and all the detailed surface expected from a globe of this size. Bronze full ring meridian. Mounted on a light mahogany art moderne stand with oval base mounted on castors with globe meridian suspended from two tapered columns of the same wood. Shows political boundaries just after WWII and before 1950. The penultimate executive corporation globe of the era. Substantial historical display piece well-preserved over nearly six decades.
