1966. Transfer printed steel orb, 9" diameter, raised by white
plastic footed cradle. Names each crater on the visible surface
with six panels of statistics about the moon on the other surface.
Issued after the Russian Luna 9 probe of Feb. 3, 1966 but prior to
Russian photographs of the opposite side. Several surface dents.

to wood-grained pressed steel cabuchon base.

unnamed crater, now called "Texas". On Lucite cradle stand.
Finally shows Tranquility Base, site of the first human lunar
landing. Also shows Apollo 12 contact site. Fine condition.
