English. Pergamon Press. Pergamon Moon Globe Diameter 33 cm - Scale 1:10 400 000. The map material was prepared by the Central Research Institute of Geodesy. Aerial photography and cartography together with the Shternberg State Astronomic Institute of the U.S.S.R. All the names shown have bgeen adopted by the International Astronomical Union... Produced by Paul Rath Verlag, Leipzig Printred by VEB Hermann Haack, Gotha..." Pergamon Press. Oxford, London, New York, Paris. c1960. 33 cm diam. orb. Coated paper gores over metal, raised on a black finished turned wood stand. The names of formations not visible from earth given in red. Reverse side not yet complete. Shows only the area photographed by the automatic planetary station, Lunik 3 on 7.10.1959. I.D.#08286. SOLD.

Chicago. 1963 (LATEST LUNAR LANDING IS 1969). 5.75" diam., photo transfer painted surface. Conforming goldtoned steel ferule on conical steel base. Without surface dents and stains. Early lunar globe prior to the Russian photographs of the far side.  I.D.#10358.  SOLD.

Division Meredith Corporation. Chicago. c1965. Transfer painted steel orb. Photolithograpic surface. Conforming steel ferule on raised round base. Some surface wear. First child's moon globe? Shows no manned landings. I.D.#07175.

Rand McNally & Company. Rand McNally 12 inch Lunar globe ... Scale: 1 inch represents 180 miles. Rand McNally & Company. Chicago. c1966. Dull paper gores over pasteboard photolithographed in shades of gray. Many site locations on the visible surface, other surface derived from satellite photos. On blue lucite cradle stand. Does not show Tranquility Base, site of the first human lunar landing. Fine condition. I.D.#06198. SOLD.

Chein, J. Lunar Globe. Made in U.S.A. Scale 1:15,000,000. Burlington, NJ. 1966. Transfer printed steel orb, 9" diameter, raised by white plastic footed cradle. Names each crater on the visible surface with six panels of statistics about the moon on the other surface. Issued after the Russian Luna 9 probe of Feb. 3, 1966 but prior to Russian photographs of the opposite side. Several surface dents. I.D.#08767.

Dull paper gores over pasteboard photolithographed in shades of gray. Many site locations on the visible surface, other surface derived from satellite photos. Less conjecture than on 1966 version. On blue Lucite cradle stand. With celluloid movable scale fixed at north and south poles. Does not show Tranquility Base, site of the first human lunar landing which is located in guide book. Includes Rand McNally lunar globe index and guide, 24 pages. Fine condition.  I.D.#10134.  SOLD.

Locates all U.S. probes landing sites (luna, ranger, surveyor, orbiter) in red. Landing site of first man on the moon, July 20, 1969, shown in red with U.S. flag. Ohio Art . Bryan, Ohio. 1970. Fixed to wood-grained pressed steel cabuchon base.  I.D.#10220.

Dull paper gores over pasteboard photolithographed in shades of gray. With celluloid movable scale fixed at north and south poles. Many site locations on the visible surface, other surface derived from satellite photos. Less conjecture than on earlier versions. Below title is a large unnamed crater, now called "Texas". On Lucite cradle stand. Finally shows Tranquility Base, site of the first human lunar landing. Also shows Apollo 12 contact site. Fine condition. I.D.#10306.  SOLD.

Silk screen transfer painted steel orb, showing in red the sites of the first manned lunar landing, July 20, 1969, and other proposed landing and surveyor sites. On raised domed wood grain finish pressed metal base. Surface dent. $85.00. I.D.#07361.
