in that strike. Above that is a note: "In the vicinity of
this place a tract.. is said by trappers to be exceedingly fertile
and abundantly timbered and well watered." What a difference
150 years make!! Superb detail of Indians, forts, proposed RR
routes, Pony Expres, U.S. mail and other routes, and missions,
