I'm Sally Smith. I have been Murray's secretary since he opened the shop here in Halls, TN in October of 1988.

I suppose you could call me the webmaster, since I am the one that made our first website. The majority of what I have learned regarding web page making has been done by trial & error.  We have had a web designer, redesign our site for better navigation and added a shopping cart.  We have such a large inventory of items that it is hard for me to keep up with complete deletions for a period of time.  There may be deleted items still showing.  PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST TO INSURE AVAILABILITY OF AN ITEM!

All Prices Subject to Change, Where Prices Are Listed.  We make lists from our extensive database according to area/era for globes, maps, or atlases, etc.  We use these lists to set the prices, and the prices get changed on the computer but maybe not on the item or website right away.  We have a very large inventory and with two people working it can get quite hectic.  Please email us (mapman@ecsis.net) with any I.D.#s, please specify globe, book, print, map and we will let you know the correct price and try with in a week to let you know availability.  The majority of the time, it is within a day.

BEFORE ORDERING: PLEASE NOTE: We have a slight problem with the map inventory area of the shopping cart.  There may be price discrepancies between the website and the shopping cart, please email us if you have any questions.  mapman@ecsis.net  Things are still progressing getting this straightened out.  You may use the shopping cart to leave your credit card information, if you wish, should the item not be available your information will be printed once and deleted on our shopping cart.  Should we come across the item, we will let you know and only with your email or verbal approval will we then charge your card and sent the item.

If you have any questions, comments, or want to send your specific wants, please feel free to email us. It may take us a few days to respond (my apologies), but with all this inventory, it can be time consuming to locate some particular items. If you cannot find a listing for your area of interest, please let me know and I will show you (thru email) the URL. I could also do a quick search of our databases: Book Inventory (books, atlases, prints, ephemera, Americana), Map Inventory (approx. 18,000 maps), and our Globe Inventory approx. 1,000 globes).

It also may take me a month or more to delete things off the website or mark them as sold. We have had a few problems with our database over the years and many things that were sold years ago still show up on the listings. It is always best to email or call us with the I.D.# of the item and let us know which page you saw it on, so we can locate it and go from there.
